Celebrating my Dad’s birthday on Catalina Island was something he will never forget. The perfect gift!
— Grayson, Malibu CA

Catalina Island is a hidden gem close to the mainland, accessible by a 4-hour sail. It hosts various fish species, including the rare Giant Black Sea Bass in May. The island offers not only swimming but also excellent hiking trails and a fantastic restaurant in Two Harbors with daily happy hours. We prefer to moor in Two Harbors for a quieter, nature-filled experience compared to the busier Avalon. We recommend at least a 2-night trip to get the most out of this experience.

FAQs

  • Catalina overnight trips are based on whether you choose to rent the whole boat for 6 people or select a cabin. The cost per night for the whole boat is $2400. For Cabin One or Cabin Two it’s $700 per night, the Master Cabin is $1000 per night.

  • The cost for an overnight trip to Catalina includes a fully serviced boat with the captain onboard and all fuel costs. There are essentials provided such as bathroom and bedroom amenities. Please refer to the cabins and life onboard sections on the site to see what each cabin includes.

  • We advise on bringing no more than a back pack and your food/ drink items for the trip. Bring clothes that are comfortable including clothes for colder climates as it’s always cooler on the water. Items to bring should include a sweater, sweat pants, windproof coat and swim gear.

  • Once you’ve booked your Catalina experience we can discuss the time you’d like to depart. We sail during daylight hours. Ideally leaving in the morning ensures a better mooring at Catalina Island.
